Four men and two teenagers have been sentenced up to 14 years in jail for one of the most powerful bombs set of in Sweden in residential areas in recent years. The six stood heared the judge’s verdict in Solna near Stockholm, on 16 February 2024.
In total eight young men were accused of the bombing of the home of a rapper with connections to the Foxtrot crime network in Hässelby in the west of Stockholm, and one in Årsta, last year. Both were in residential areas with multiple families as neighbours. In Hässelby 15 kilos of explosives were used, according to investigators, which makes it one of the larger bombs set off in Swedish towns and cities in recent years.
Of the men in the age of 18 to 19 years, four will be jailed for 14, 7, 5 years and 5 months, and 3 years respectively. Two 17-year-olds are sentenced to juvenile care. Two other suspects have been freed from accusations. | © 2024 Marcel Burger, nordicreporter.com. Feature stock photo by Binbin
