Estonia is beefing up its artillery capacity, now that the Estonian Center for Defense Investments (RKIK) reported on Sunday it had received the next 6 South Korean-made K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers.

Go Craft, an Estonian company, has been contracted to make the K9s more resistent against the Baltic weather conditions, and adds more storage space.

A total of 36 K9 Thunders have been order with South Korea’s Hanwha Defense, for EUR 120 million. With the latest batch, 24 howitzers have so fare arrived. | © 2023 Marcel Burger, nordicreporter.com. Press photo of Estonian K9s by RKIK, December 2023
