In a new series of shootings in Sweden since Friday and before the changing of the clock to winter time, two teenagers were killed, and two men wounded.
One late teenager was shot and killed in the Brynäs area in Gävle on Saturday 25 October, with a second older teenager wounded. Police are investigating if this incident has any links to the shooting of six people in the centre of the city a few weeks ago, for which a 14-year-old was arrested as the main suspect. Emergency services just flagged the 14-year-old a few hours earlier but were unable to reach him before he shot the wide variety of people which had reportedly nothing to do with either gang wars or crime. Gävle’s police later picked up two other suspects of the mass shooting later, suspected of links to the 14-year-old’s actions.
Shootings in Södertälje and Rinkeby
In Södertälje, south of Stockholm, an 18-year-old was shot and killed on 24 October, and another one wounded. And in Stockholm suburb Rinkeby, a 25-year-old man was found shot on 25 October, with police hunting for suspects.
