Finland prohibits all non-essential travel to the country and all that arrive will have to submit to a #COVID19 test. The new restrictions are in effect from 27 January to 25 February. #Finland

Snow weather in the North of Sweden causes lots of problems. Power is down in some parts. Train traffic is cancelled and authorities warn that everybody should stay at home. Tracked vehicles on stand-by to take over from regular ambulances. #sweden #extremeweather

In 2006 I left my family, friends and the security of a relatively steady editorial job in the Netherlands to move to Sweden, for love. A heartbreak later I’m still around – having crisscrossed like crazy through my new land to make a travel guide book, adding a new career as a language teacher at elementary and lower secondary schools, becoming a freelance Scandinavia correspondent & fixer for Belgian and Dutch media.
